In US, there are so many standardized examination.  There are examinations for college application, graduate school applications, professional school applications, and state licensure exams for professionals.  It is very difficult and time consuming to have these examination conducted in Paper and Pencil tests.  In order to have efficient testing, the tests are conducted on the computers.  Prometric is the company creating the computer based testing sites.  It makes the environment secure for testing.  There are camera and people making sure the examinees are not cheating.  Prometric is making millions.
